About west coast stabilizers inc
West Coast Stabilizers Inc. (WCS) was founded on a simple but powerful belief championed by marine industry professional Lyf Todd — offshore comfort, vessel control, and onboard safety should never be considered optional upgrades; they should be standard for every serious boater operating in today’s demanding marine environments.
Guided by Lyf Todd’s leadership and supported by a team of highly experienced marine stabilization specialists, West Coast Stabilizers Inc. focuses on the installation, retrofit, and performance optimization of advanced vessel stabilization technologies for yachts, sportfishing vessels, and commercial boats operating throughout the Pacific Coast.
From gyro stabilizers to fin stabilization systems, every WCS project is carefully engineered to match the vessel’s unique hull design, displacement characteristics, weight distribution, and real-world operating conditions. This vessel-specific approach allows stabilization systems to deliver measurable improvements in onboard comfort, operational safety, and vessel handling across a wide range of sea states.
At West Coast Stabilizers Inc., we combine marine engineering expertise, advanced system integration knowledge, and hands-on installation experience to provide stabilization solutions designed for long-term durability and dependable offshore performance. Each project is approached with precision planning, technical evaluation, and a commitment to delivering results vessel owners can rely on when sea conditions become unpredictable.
Our mission remains straightforward — to help boaters operate with greater confidence, enhanced comfort, and superior vessel stability wherever their journeys on the water take them.

Our Journey
- Lyf’s background is deeply hands-on and technical, spanning metal fabrication, precision machining, diesel mechanics, electrical integration, and marine electronics. He started his career building, shaping, and repairing classic vehicles, rebuilding vintage gasoline engines, rewiring vehicles, adding show stopping sound systems —before moving into technical sales and support for high-precision fabrication machinery. That experience sharpened his ability to translate complex systems into practical, real-world solutions for customers.
In the marine world, Lyf started as a diesel technician, repower specialist and progressed from installing electronics and auxiliary systems to handling full mechanical and structural integrations aboard vessels. A key turning point came when he began working extensively with gyro stabilizers and high-performance stabilization systems, including Seakeeper and then moving on to Quick Mc2 gyroscopic platforms and CMC Marine fin systems. Over time, this evolved into a focused niche: serious stabilization for boats that actually run offshore, not just sit at the dock.
Today, WCS brings together this unique blend of fabrication skill, mechanical expertise, electrical know-how, and real sea time to deliver stabilization installs that are clean, robust, and built to last. Whether it’s a complex retrofit, a structural integration, or a new stabilization package, every project is approached with engineering discipline, precision execution, and a commitment to long-term reliability
